International Assistance Coordinator with German.

The position of International Assistance Coordinator is about helping travellers in difficult situations abroad. In doing this you will be expected to:

• Handle any inbound or outbound communication related to assistance. This can be with an insurance policyholder (traveller) in medical need, medical or technical providers, agents, customers and other Euro-Center Offices.
• Register all communications and taken actions in the company’s systems.
• Coordinate adequately all logistic arrangements locally and internationally.
• Coordinate with the Medical Team according to Euro-Center’s escalation process.
• Have a good knowledge of all products plus be able to quickly, and efficiently check policy terms and conditions required for the case.
• Be able to understand the available medical provider network and identify preferred providers in different countries adequate for an ongoing case.
• Work in close coordination with senior colleagues and managers.

• While you will provide assistance using German language (written and spoken) you will also need good English as well. Given the international nature of the company, English is used as the internal language and the training is also provided in English.
• To do a great job you will need to be able to show empathy to customers in what can be a stressful time for them.
• You will also need to have the ability to analyse a situation and find a solution. In doing this you’ll need to be flexible, fast thinking and be able to maintain a cool head.
• To be effective you’ll also need to be well organised and be able to effectively multitask.
• Previous experience in customer service is advantageous but not essential.
